Blog Post; Short Ones or Long?

All along, I thought a blog post should contain a loooo.....ng lines.  At least that's how I understand from seeing other's blog.  Funny thing is even I enjoy reading a book with a long paragraph, I can not have the same feeling when reading a long blog post.  Unless it is a very good one.

Probably that is a reason why I barely make a long post.  I always presume that people have the same habit as me; hesitate reading a long passage.

Until recently, when I accidentally found www.thetraveljunkie.org.  After browsing the website, I noticed instead of long paragraphs, he's only writing short lines.  Yet, the message was perfectly conveyed.

From the way I observe, www.thetraveljunkie.org directly put his ideas right from the beginning of the sentence.  He puts aside all the 'yadda yadda' intros and such. 😏

In fact, the guy who once featured in Kick Andy Show as Indonesian respected travel blogger, places a number of pictures.  The point is,  let the picture talk for themselves.  Me like it!  😉

The way this guy blogging, reminds me of Diana Rika Sari owner of Hot Chocolate and Mint website.  Both have the same way of presenting ideas; not a wordy post, instead they put a bunch of pictures.

So come to my sensing that blogging is personal.  Doesn't matter how you present it; short or long, wordy or not, full of a picture or less.  Once you think it covers all you want to say and ideas, do not hold you from hit the release button.

Indonesian famous writer Arswendo Atmowilot said writing is easy.  The thinking is difficult.

Happy blogging!
